SAN ROQUE, Spain – In his last LIV Golf start, Patrick Reed won at Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas after a thrilling four-man playoff. The 4Aces GC star made a spectacular birdie on the first playoff hole and did so with a secret weapon: his 11-year-old daughter Windsor-Wells’ putter. Most of it, at least.

Before teeing off at LIV Golf Andalucía, Patrick Reed and Windsor-Wells discussed the unique putter that fueled his first LIV Golf victory at Maridoe Golf Club.

“Someone made the putter for me, but my mom took some parts and crafted one for my dad. It was worth it, I’d say,” Windsor-Wells said.

The putter, an Odyssey White Hot Pro 3, is inscribed with “Windsor-Wells Reed” in pink lettering, finished with a heart. When asked if she takes credit for her dad’s playoff-winning putt, Windsor-Wells didn’t hesitate, responding with a straightforward “yes,” followed by a small smile.

Reed shared that some of his fondest memories involve playing golf with Windsor-Wells.

“Some of my best times are with her on the course," Reed said. "She’ll join me for nine holes; we’ll play some music, and afterward, we head to the club for lunch—usually chicken tenders, fries, and a couple of Shirley Temples. We just make a day of it."

Beyond teaching Windsor-Wells the game of golf, Reed highlighted the deeper life lessons that golf teaches her.

“The biggest thing is learning how to handle emotions, the ups and downs of life," Reed said. "On a golf course, you hit a great shot but get a bad break, and you have to bounce back quickly. You can’t let small setbacks keep you down. Likewise, when you’re too pumped up, you need to stay humble and level-headed. I want to show her it’s just a game—we’re out here to have fun."

This week, Reed will be attempting to win back-to-back LIV Golf events and his course history indicates that he may have a great chance. In his two starts at Valderrama for LIV Golf, Reed has finished T4 and T5.

The Reeds enter the week brimming with confidence.

“I want to see him beat everybody in Spain today,” Windsor-Wells said.

When asked for advice to help her dad succeed, Windsor-Wells offered a simple yet heartfelt recommendation: “Have some fun and do your best.”

With a special putter in his bag and his daughter’s in-person support at Valderrama, Reed might be tough to beat.
