The 2026 LIV Golf season starts next February under the lights in Riyadh, and in the next few months, we’ll take a detailed look at each player competing next season. Next up is a player with 21 professional wins, Crushers GC's Paul Casey.
LOOKING AHEAD
Casey will be 48 years old for the 2026 season but has shown no signs of slowing down. The five-time Ryder Cupper continues to be one of the best iron players in the league and will be able to compete with LIV Golf’s top players on courses that favor precise ball-striking.
Last offseason, Casey was rehabbing from an injury. Now, the Crushers GC star will have a full offseason to prepare for the 2026 season, which he spoke about at the Moutai Singapore Open. “This time last year I had just come off surgery on my toe, so I feel like I am in a much better place with my golf game. And I am excited about my game, working very hard on it. It is my 25th season and I am still excited and full of energy. Although I haven't won this year, there has been some very, very good golf played.”
Casey is arguably the best player on LIV Golf who’s yet to hoist an individual trophy. He should get a few opportunities to change that next season.
LOOKING BACK
Casey has established himself as a dependable teammate for his captain and remains one of the most consistent performers on the LIV Golf circuit. He recorded four top-10 finishes this season and came agonizingly close to claiming his maiden individual LIV Golf title, ultimately finishing runner-up to Patrick Reed in a four-man playoff at LIV Golf Dallas. Casey led the entire league in Strokes Gained: Approach and secured a place inside the Lock Zone for the second straight year.

WHAT THE STATS SAY
Strengths: Casey led the league in Strokes Gained: Approach in 2025 (+0.87 per round). Approach play is generally seen as the strongest indicator of current ball-striking form. Posting the best number in the league at 48, in a field loaded with young stars and major winners stands out as one of the most impressive statistical feats of the season. Casey was particularly dominant in approach from the 150-225 yard range. He gained 0.63 strokes on the field per round, which was more than double that of the second ranked player, Talor Gooch (+0.27).
Casey also did a great job limiting mistakes and keeping big numbers off the card. He made bogey or worse on only 13% of his holes played, which was tied for 3rd best in the league. He hit 66% of his fairways, which ranked in the top 10 in the league.
Weaknesses: Given how spectacular he was with his irons, it’s a bit of a shame he had a down year in some other statistical categories, keeping him out of the top-10 in the league standings. Casey was roughly league average off the tee (27th) and struggled at times with his short game. He ranked 33rd in Strokes Gained: Around the Green and 30th in Strokes Gained: Putting.
His sand save percentage was 47%, placing him in the bottom half of the league.

BOTTOM LINE
Casey may be in the twilight of his career, but on the shorter courses that require precise iron play, he’s certainly capable of winning a LIV Golf individual event and breaking into the top 10 in the individual standings. If he can put one more strong season together coupled with a dominant Bryson DeChambeau season, Crushers GC can avenge their narrow playoff loss in the Team Championship to Legion XIII.
