Phil Wins Shot of the Year
Phil Mickelson has always been a short-game magician, and he proved it once again in the final round of LIV Golf Virginia 2025. For his astounding birdie, the HyFlyers GC captain won Shot of the Year at the inaugural LIV Golf Showcase prior to the 2026 season. On the par-4 17th hole at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Mickelson, sitting at 12 under and just two shots off the lead, found his ball in a precarious spot: deep rough on a sloping bank, hole-high, with the pin to his right, and the six-time major champion pulled off a jaw-dropping flop shot that you have to see to believe.
