2026 Masters recap for Carlos Ortiz

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Ten LIV Golf players began in the original field of 91 at the 2026 Masters, including Torque GC member Carlos Ortiz.

Here are recaps of each of his two rounds.

Rd. 2 score: 3-over 75 (11-over total) 

Round 2: Ortiz had a better day than yesterday but still shot a 3-over 75 to finish his tournament at 11 over. He will miss the cut for the second time in two tries at the Masters. The Mexican will next tee it up at LIV Golf Mexico City in front of his home fans.

Round 1: Ortiz got off to a difficult start in his second-ever Masters appearance. The Torque GC star opened with a bogey on the first hole, and it got worse from there. Ortiz made a bogey or worse on each of his first five holes, including double bogeys on the second and fifth holes. After making the turn at 7 over, the Mexican settled down on the back nine. He shot 1 over on his final nine holes with two birdies and three bogeys. Ortiz finished with an 8-over 80 and will need a low round on Friday to make the cut.
