Multi-year partnership strengthens pathway from junior golf to the global stage

BRASELTON, Ga. and NEW YORK – Torque GC of the LIV Golf League and the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) today announced a multi-year partnership, establishing the team as title sponsor of the Torque GC Championship. The event will return to Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club in Florida for the second consecutive year, reinforcing a shared commitment to developing the next generation of elite golfers.

The partnership reinforces Torque GC’s commitment to creating meaningful pathways for young golfers, while focusing on the global growth of the game. Torque GC’s roster includes AJGA alumni Joaquin Niemann, Abraham Ancer, and Carlos Ortiz, each of whom competed on the AJGA circuit before rising to the professional ranks.

The Torque GC Championship will feature 78 of the world’s top-ranked junior players competing June 9–11, 2026 in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. An AJGA Qualifier will be held Monday, June 8, providing 78 additional players the opportunity to earn a place in the championship field.

“Supporting junior golf through this championship is personal to us. The AJGA played an important role in our development, and now we have the opportunity to create meaningful opportunities for the next generation,” said Niemann, Captain of Torque GC. “LIV Golf is built around emerging global talent, and this partnership is about strengthening that pathway, opening doors, raising the standard, and helping young players see a clear route from junior golf to the world stage.”

Niemann is a three-time AJGA champion, including back-to-back victories at the Sergio Garcia Foundation Junior Championship, and earned First Team Rolex Junior All-American honors in 2016. Ortiz competed in seven AJGA events, while Ancer has remained actively involved in junior golf initiatives throughout his professional career.
