The PGA Championship released its field list Tuesday for next week’s major, with 15 full-time LIV Golf players scheduled to compete at Quail Hollow.

Those 15 players represent nearly 28% of the 54 members on the LIV Golf roster who compete at each regular-season tournament.

Three LIV Golf players – 4Aces GC Captain Dustin Johnson, Legion XIII’s Tom McKibbin and Fireballs GC’s David Puig –were among the golfers receiving the latest special invitations this week.

In addition, Legion XIII’s Tyrrell Hatton and 4Aces’ Patrick Reed were confirmed as expected due to their status as top 100 players, who commonly receive special exemptions into the field although it is not a specific category.

Johnson’s inclusion in the field continues his streak of being eligible to play in every major since 2009. The 40-year-old Johnson is a two-time major winner who will seek the third leg of the career grand slam next week.

McKibbin (22 years old) and Puig (23) are two of LIV Golf’s youngest players, with McKibbin competing in his first season in the league after joining Jon Rahm’s team.

Three-time PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka (Smash GC), two-time winner Phil Mickelson (HyFlyers GC) and 2010 winner Martin Kaymer (Cleeks GC) are past PGA champions who are also team captains in LIV Golf.

Mickelson won the 2021 PGA at age 50 to become the oldest winner of any major. Koepka won the 2023 PGA, the first player actively competing in LIV Golf to win a major; last year, Crushers GC Captain Bryson DeChambeau joined him by winning the U.S. Open.

Cleeks’ Richard Bland is competing in the PGA Championship for just the second time in his career thanks to his victory last season at the Senior PGA Championship. The 52-year-old Bland won both of the senior majors he competed in last year, also claiming the U.S. Senior Open.

Six of the top 10 players in the current LIV Golf season-long Individual Championship race are in the field, including points leader Joaquin Niemann, the Torque GC captain who won three of the first seven tournaments during the first half of the season.

In all, the 15 players in the PGA Championship represent 10 LIV Golf teams, with Legion XIII (McKibbin, Hatton and captain Jon Rahm) having the most players from a single team.

In addition, LIV Golf reserve player John Catlin is in the field.

The first round begins May 15 at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.
