LONDON, NEW YORK and West Palm Beach, Fla. – LIV Golf today announced details for the League’s 2024 Team Championship, taking place September 20-22 at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas. Fans throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex will welcome LIV Golf’s star-studded teams for the season finale, with the excitement of head-to-head competition featuring both match play and stroke play that will determine the 2024 LIV Golf League Team Champions.

“Our LIV Golf players are looking forward to playing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with its great golf tradition,” said LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman.“Texas is legendary for producing and hosting great golfers who set a high bar while competing for championships. Our LIV Golf Team Championship at Maridoe Golf Club will be a great experience for our players and all the fans in attendance.”

Tickets for the Team Championship are on sale now at LIVGolf.com.

"This year’s Team Championship at Maridoe Golf Club holds special significance for me as we make our Dallas debut and our team strives to defend our title in front of a home crowd," said Crushers GC Captain Bryson DeChambeau. "I'm excited to play this course and compete in front of Texas fans for our closing event and can't wait to bring LIV Golf's electrifying energy and fierce competition to Dallas.”

“Members of Maridoe Golf Club are pleased to host the LIV Golf Team Championship in September,” said Maridoe Golf Club Founder Albert Huddleston. “Maridoe has been honored to previously host the Southern Amateur, Trans-Mississippi Amateur, East West Cup Matches, USGA Women’s Four-Ball Championship as well as two 2020 COVID tournaments won by Scottie Scheffler and Brandon Wu. Maridoe is designed to be an enjoyable but demanding member’s club while always ready to provide a great test for elite golfers to entertain golf enthusiasts.”

Maridoe Golf Club, located just 20 miles from downtown Dallas, was ranked by Golf Digest among the top three new private courses in 2018. Built on the site of the old Columbian Club and designed by Steve Smyers, the course is considered among the most difficult in the Metroplex, tipping out at 7,817 yards, and will be the host for LIV Golf’s 2024 finale – a three-day, survive-and-advance tournament featuring team match play and stroke play.

For the LIV Golf Team Championship, teams will be seeded 1-13 based on the final regular season team standings following the 13th event, LIV Golf Chicago, taking place September 13-15 at Bolingbrook Golf Club. Adjustments to the Team Championship format have been implemented to enhance the competition across the three days at Maridoe. Those updates include:

  • All 13 teams competing, with only the top three teams receiving first-round byes and automatically qualifying for Saturday’s semifinals

  • Ten teams seeded 4-13 competing in five quarterfinals matches on Friday, with matchups determined at a live press conference featuring team captains during tournament week. The five winners of the opening match play round will then advance to the semifinals

  • To enhance the strategy within the competition, Team Captains may opt to participate in the singles or foursomes matchups during the first two days of match play

Last season, the Team Championship in Miami featured a thrilling finish won by Crushers GC, comprised of DeChambeau, Paul Casey, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri. Halfway through the 2024 season, the Crushers have maintained their form with back-to-back team wins in Jeddah and Hong Kong, and sit in first place with 105.50 points. Legion XIII, the League’s new expansion team with captain Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Kieran Vincent and Caleb Surratt, have also won twice and sit in second place with 94 points. The all-Australian Ripper GC, comprised of captain Cam Smith, Marc Leishman, Lucas Herbert and Matt Jones, are coming off back-to-back team victories in Adelaide in Singapore and have jumped to third place with 90 points. They currently hold a seven-point advantage over Torque GC, captained by current individual standings leader Joaquin Niemann along with Mito Pereira, Sebastián Muñoz and Carlos Ortiz, the only team to earn top-six finishes in all seven tournaments this season.

LIV Golf’s global field features 14 major champions as well as many of the sport’s biggest names including Brooks Koepka (Smash GC), Dustin Johnson (4Aces GC), Phil Mickelson (HyFlyers GC), Sergio Garcia (Fireballs GC), Bubba Watson (RangeGoats GC), Talor Gooch (Smash GC), Louis Oosthuizen (Stinger GC), and many more. In addition to watching world-class competition, the LIV Golf Team Championship will feature live music entertainment and family-friendly fun for all ages. Fans can secure the ultimate tournament experience with LIV Golf's renowned hospitality packages, each delivering an array of amenities. All passes allow fans to walk the course, watch the action up close and grant entry to the interactive Fan Village – an immersive area featuring local food and beverage offerings, a specially designed LIV Kids Zone for the youngest fans to relax and play, engaging exhibits, virtual simulators, sports games, and much more.

Parking is free, and all youths 12-years-old and younger receive free grounds passes, as do all active-duty military and veteran service members. Concert acts for the LIV Golf Team Championship will be unveiled soon.
