RANGEGOATS GC QUICK REVIEW
TEAM
Captain Bubba Watson raised some eyebrows last offseason by making some bold roster moves, but the team remained capable of making some noise, including two podium finishes in the first five tournaments. But inconsistent performances left them in the back half of the pack entering the Team Championship, and they seemed to run out of steam in Dallas.
PLAYERS (final points ranking)
Matthew Wolff (18): The change in scenery seemed to benefit one of golf’s biggest hitters, who’s still just 25 years old. Reached the podium in Miami and had two other top-6 results as he safely finished in the Lock Zone. He’ll look to turn more of that potential into reality in 2025.
Peter Uihlein (27): One of LIV Golf’s most consistent performers in the first two years, he reached the podium early in Las Vegas. Surprisingly, that was his only top-10 finish of the season, as his lack of accuracy off the tee rarely allowed him to get untracked. Outdueled his former captain Dustin Johnson in the Team Championship quarterfinals.
Thomas Pieters (30): Had a stretch midway in the season with three consecutive top-15 finishes but struggled to mount any consistency beyond that. After adjusting to life as a single dad, he says brighter days are ahead for his golf game.
Bubba Watson (53): Started the year with two top-24 points results but never duplicated those efforts and eventually finished in the Drop Zone. He was efficient off the tee but struggled as he got closer to the pin.
