Johnson Leads a Team Reloaded with Talent and Primetime Swagger for 2026
NEW YORK — 4Aces GC of the LIV Golf League, the global golf league blending world-class competition with entertainment and culture to grow the game worldwide, announced it has signed captain and two-time major champion Dustin Johnson to a multi-year extension and signed European rising star Thomas Detry. The 33-year-old Detry joins a 4Aces core also comprised of 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed and former Ryder Cup player Thomas Pieters, locking in an elite roster for 2026.
4Aces GC returns as one of the league’s most entertaining teams, defined by aura and Showtime energy. The team’s 2025 season performance featured consistent contention, six podium finishes, and sustained success across the schedule. The team was also the only one to have all four players finish in the lock zone. Johnson, the former world no. 1, had five top-10 finishes on the season, highlighted by a third-place finish in the final event of the season at LIV Golf Indianapolis.
“This team is built for big moments, and 2026 is a chance for us to take another step forward,” Johnson said. “Thomas Detry is a great addition; he’s confident, competitive, and that fits exactly what we’re about. We’ve got the talent, the chemistry, and the mindset to be right there all season.”
Detry joins 4Aces GC for the 2026 season, bringing proven winning experience and an international pedigree, recently becoming the first player from Belgium to win on the PGA Tour when he stormed to a seven-shot victory at the 2025 WM Phoenix Open. Detry’s steady all-around game and comfort on golf’s biggest stages make him a natural fit within a 4Aces team built for high-stakes moments.
“There’s an amazing vibe around the 4Aces that you feel right away,” Detry said. “You can see they play with confidence and there’s a definite swagger coming from all the guys….feeling like you belong on the biggest stages. That’s exactly the type of environment I want to be a part of.”
Reed returns following a standout 2025 that saw him finish seventh in the season-long standings. The Texan earned his first LIV Golf individual win at LIV Golf Dallas after making a lengthy birdie putt on the first hole of a four-man playoff. Reed had five top-10 finishes in 2025, including a T4 finish in Korea and also finished 3rd at the 2025 Masters.
Pieters will look to continue his upward trajectory in 2026 after delivering a strong 2025 campaign that saw back-to-back T4 finishes in the middle of the season in Korea and Virginia, and ended the season with back-to-back T8 finishes in Chicago and Indianapolis. The big-hitting Belgian’s blend of power, athleticism, and confidence makes him a natural fit in a lineup that values presence and performance.
Off the course, 4Aces GC leads the charge as they continue to build out one of the most commercially diverse partnership portfolios in professional golf. The team is partnered with marquee brand partners including FlyHouse, JAXXON, Santo Studio, DAOU Vineyards, Ghost Golf and others, reflecting the team’s dominant stake at the intersection of sport, culture, technology, media, and global business.
With an expanded LIV Golf schedule and format changes coming in 2026, including 72-hole tournaments, 4Aces GC brings an elite competitive edge and an ability to command the moment, creating a team presence that commands attention.
