LIV Golf 2026 Season Player Preview: Adrian Meronk
The 2026 LIV Golf season starts next February under the lights in Riyadh, and in the next few months, we’ll take a detailed look at each player competing next season. Next up is the winner of LIV Golf Riyadh in 2025, Cleeks Golf Club's Adrian Meronk.
LOOKING AHEAD
Meronk has the high-end potential to win in any given week but must look to be more consistent in the weeks he doesn’t have the winning formula. The Pole had the pressure of being the only player in his prime on a struggling Cleeks GC team that failed to reach the podium all season long, but that will change in 2026 with the addition of Frenchman Victor Perez. If Meronk can translate his proven ceiling into consistent point-scoring weeks, Cleeks GC may see a dramatic uplift going forward.
LOOKING BACK
Meronk was the best player on Cleeks GC and kicked off 2025 with a victory, claiming the team’s first-ever individual title with a dramatic win under the lights at LIV Golf Riyadh. Early signs pointed to a breakout season, but the momentum stalled almost immediately when he went the next nine regular-season events without a top-10 finish. Meronk eventually regained form late in the year, posting T7 at LIV Golf UK and T8 at Indianapolis, then capped the season with a statement victory: defeating the newly crowned Individual Champion Jon Rahm 2&1 in the quarterfinals of the Michigan Team Championship.
WHAT THE STATS SAY
Strengths: Meronk’s only statistical strength last season was his putting. He ranked 5th in the league in Strokes Gained: Putting, gaining 0.56 strokes on the field per round.
Weaknesses: Tee to green play was an overall disaster for Meronk in 2025. He ranked 41st in the league in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, losing 0.29 strokes to field per round. His struggles with the driver were predominantly due to his inability to consistently hit fairways. His 51% fairway percentage ranked in the bottom third of the league. Meronk ranked 37th in Strokes Gained: Approach, losing 0.19 strokes to the field.
He also played par-4 holes in a cumulative +22 for the season, which was the worst score among players in the top 20 in the standings.

BOTTOM LINE
For both his individual ranking and Cleeks GC to have a strong year, Meronk will need to vastly improve his tee-to-green game. A repeat performance of 2025, where he lost strokes off the tee, on approach, and around the greens, is a recipe for disaster.
Meronk has all the tools and pedigree to make 2026 a true bounce-back year, and there’s every reason to expect he will. The Riyadh victory early in 2025 masked some worrisome statistical signs, but it also proved what he’s capable of when everything clicks.
