SAN ROQUE, Spain – The opening round of LIV Golf Andalucía has been suspended for the remainder of Friday and will resume at 8 a.m. local time (2 a.m. ET) on Saturday. Round 2 will commence at 10:30 a.m. (4:30 a.m ET) upon the completion of Round 1.

Play was originally suspended at Real Club Valderrama on Friday at 5:07 p.m. local time due to unplayable course conditions caused by wind gusts reaching up to 33 mph. The strong winds made the greens unsuitable for competition. Tournament officials halted play and the decision was eventually made to suspend play until Saturday morning.

Players will pick up their rounds from where they left off, returning to their positions on the course when play was halted. Five players currently share the lead at 1 under: Talor Gooch (Smash GC), Lee Westwood (Majesticks GC), Cameron Smith (Ripper GC), Joaquin Niemann (Torque GC), and Branden Grace (Stinger GC).
