LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman and South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas Announce Details in Adelaide as Excitement Builds for 2024 Season

ADELAIDE, Australia – LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman and South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas have confirmed dates for the highly anticipated return of LIV Golf Adelaide, April 26-28, 2024. The announcement was made this morning at The Grange Golf Club, which returns as host venue while excitement builds for the second installment of the tournament named World’s Best Golf Event of 2023 by the World Golf Awards.

“The inaugural LIV Golf Adelaide showed the world how global audiences are embracing LIV Golf, which is breathing new life into the sport,” said Norman. “It was the highlight tournament of our league’s first official season and a historic demonstration of competition, entertainment and fanfare that golf fans deserve. South Australia knows how to put on a show, and we look forward to seeing The Grange Golf Club set yet another elevated benchmark for the league as we raise the bar even higher in 2024.”

Hospitality tickets for LIV Golf Adelaide go on sale November 15 at LIVGolf.com. Fans are encouraged to sign up to LIV X for free to gain pre-sale access to grounds passes, which will be available on December 5 exclusively to LIV X members and previous LIV Golf Adelaide ticket buyers before the public on-sale starting December 6.

“The inaugural LIV Golf Adelaide was a global success, named the world’s best golf event for 2023. LIV Golf delivered for South Australia, filling hotel rooms, restaurants and pumping $65 million into our state’s economy,” said Premier Malinauskas. “With dates now set for 2024, I have no doubt there will be many excited fans from interstate and overseas booking their trip to South Australia.

“Hosting the nation’s first LIV Golf tournament and playing home to the now legendary hole-in-one by Chase Koepka at our iconic watering hole, these history-making moments got people looking at Adelaide and talking about our state. The results from the first LIV Golf Adelaide are exactly why my government invests in securing major events, and why I am excited about what’s in store for next year’s LIV Golf tournament in Adelaide.”

An economic impact report by YouGov Sport on the 2023 LIV Golf Adelaide found:

  • $64.9 million in direct expenditure

  • 43,253 visitor nights in Adelaide

  • 77,076 attendees across the event

  • 41% of ticket purchasers from out-of-state

  • 37 countries represented by LIV Golf attendees

  • Broadcast global household reach of more than 276 million across 69 territories

“What an incredible result for Australia’s first LIV Golf tournament, and it was right here in South Australia,” said South Australian Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison. “The inaugural event drew tens of thousands of attendees from interstate and overseas and saw tickets snapped up almost as quickly as they were released. Not only did it provide a huge boost to our visitor economy and supported many local jobs, LIV Golf Adelaide made history with scenes broadcast around the world, including in our key tourism markets. I am thrilled we have dates locked in the calendar for the 2024 tournament, with next year shaping up to be another blockbuster for major events in South Australia.”

LIV Golf’s star-studded, international field will return in 2024 with many of the sport’s biggest names including 2022 Open Champion and Australian star Cameron Smith (Ripper GC), 2020 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau (2023 Team Champions Crushers GC), 2023 Individual Champion and defending LIV Golf Adelaide winner Talor Gooch (RangeGoats GC), 2023 PGA Championship winner and five-time major champion Brooks Koepka (Smash GC), six-time major winner and World Golf Hall of Famer Phil Mickelson (HyFlyers GC), two-time major winners Dustin Johnson (4Aces GC), Bubba Watson (RangeGoats GC) and Martin Kaymer (Cleeks GC), and many more.
