LIV Golf returns to JCB Golf & Country Club in Staffordshire for a third consecutive year, 23-26 July 2026
STAFFORDSHIRE and NEW YORK – LIV Golf, the global golf league blending world-class competition with entertainment and culture to grow the game worldwide, today announced that the 2025 LIV Golf UK event generated $63 million USD (approximately £45 million) in economic impact across Uttoxeter, Staffordshire and the wider region, reinforcing the event’s growing importance as a major summer sporting event for local businesses and tourism.
Generating Local Impact and Community Engagement Across the Globe
Staged at JCB Golf & Country Club in Rocester, Staffordshire, LIV Golf UK attracted 43,000 international and domestic fans across three days, generating a significant economic footprint across Staffordshire and the West Midlands. This impact encompasses both operational costs and extensive visitor spending on hotels, dining, transport, and hospitality businesses–creating a powerful ripple effect that supported local employment and regional suppliers. The figure reflects the full economic footprint of staging a LIV Golf event in the heart of England.
The 2025 economic impact results add to LIV Golf's growing financial contribution to host communities around the world. Across its global schedule, LIV Golf's estimated total economic impact has now reached over $1.5 billion to date and over $600M in 2025 alone. These figures place the League among the most consequential sporting properties in terms of regional investment–a record that continues to grow with each successive event and season.
After achieving GEO-certification two years in a row, a distinction that recognises leadership in sustainable golf, LIV Golf UK 2025 marked the first time a LIV Golf event utilized solar energy as part of temporary structure builds. The event was 100% powered by renewable energy and successfully diverted 100% of waste from local landfills thanks to surplus food donations, material recycling, and other initiatives.
LIV Golf UK 2025 at JCB Golf & Country Club attracted a diverse crowd of 43,000 fans, successfully engaging a new generation of spectators as 26% were under the age of 35 and 32% were attending a golf event for the first time. The event maintained a strong family appeal, with 25% of attendees bringing children and 83% of attendees frequenting LIV Golf’s signature Fan Village, which brings a family-friendly, festival-like atmosphere to each of the League’s events.
Although 59% of attendees lived within a 90-minute drive of JCB Golf and Country Club, the geographic draw extended well beyond Rocester, with 39% of fans traveling from elsewhere in the UK and 2% visiting from overseas. This influx of visitors boosted the local hospitality sector, with 18% of fans staying in overnight accommodation and an additional 3% staying with friends or family during the three-day event.
"The impact of LIV Golf in 2025 reflects what we have always believed—that when LIV Golf comes to town, the entire economy and community benefits," Ross Hallett, EVP, Head of Events, LIV Golf. “The commercial activity generated across Staffordshire and the wider region is something we are immensely proud of, and it reinforces our commitment to delivering events that leave a lasting legacy well beyond the final round. Thanks to our partners at JCB Golf and Country Club, we have become embedded in the local community and enter our third year at the course excited to continue to grow our impact, reach, and passionate UK fan base."
This summer, LIV Golf returns to JCB Golf & Country Club for a third consecutive year, cementing what has become one of the League's most anticipated stops on its international calendar. The partnership with JCB reflects a shared commitment to delivering world-class competition and fan experience in the heart of England, with Majesticks Golf Club and their all-United Kingdom roster serving as the home team. LIV Golf UK presented by JCB will tee off 23-26 July 2026, with tickets available now at LIVGolf.com/schedule/uk-2026.
Commitment to Growing the Game at the Grassroots Level
Beyond event week, LIV Golf has continued to support wider community and social impact initiatives. Through its LIV For Good sustainability platform, LIV Golf is driving measurable global change across its three core pillars: Game, Community, and Planet. To date, the League has reached one million youths worldwide, with a long-term goal of introducing 15,000 new young players to the sport annually by removing barriers and fostering inclusivity.
Since 2022, in the United Kingdom, this work has already impacted over 6,500 young people through collaborations with more than 14 nonprofits, including multi-year partnerships with the Muslim Golf Association, Black British Golfers, and The Change Foundation. In 2025, key milestones from these efforts include the 2,000+ lives impacted across nearly 200 school sessions delivered by the Muslim Golf Association to The Change Foundation’s mentorship programs that have enabled 77 youths to move into employment opportunities. This work continues LIV Golf’s commitment to growing the game through diverse global and local partnerships for the League and its 13 Teams.
The Majesticks Golf Club and its award-winning Little Sticks grassroots golf programme have helped to “unleash the potential of young people through golf” via school-based initiatives throughout the United Kingdom. In 2025, the programme engaged 226 schools nationwide and directly impacted more than 24,000 young people through golf curriculum-based delivery. As per an independent study by Sheffield Hallam University, the impact on the young people involved was significant, with key outcomes including: a 19.5% increase in confidence to achieve goals, 15% increase in problem-solving persistence, and 12.3% increase in appreciation for teamwork.
