Maaden LIV Golf Virginia delivers meaningful community and sustainability impact through LIV For Good platform
Event week extends its impact beyond the course to the local community and the next generation of golfers

STERLING, VA (May15, 2026) – Maaden LIV GOLF Virginia extended its impact beyond the competition at Trump National Golf Club this past week, demonstrating LIV Golf’s ongoing commitment to making a positive difference through its global ‘LIV For Good’ platform. The event, held from May 7-10, showcased dedicated initiatives across LIV For Good’s three core pillars: Game, Community, and Planet.
Throughout the event week, LIV Golf brought its mission of LIV For Good to life fostering the next generation of golfers, giving back to the local community, and promoting environmental sustainability. LIV For Good is committed to supporting social and environmental initiatives across the 10 countries and five continents where the League holds events. The platform is built on the belief that golf has the power to drive positive change on and off the course and is dedicated to creating a lasting impact through programs that focus on youth development, community enrichment, and environmental stewardship.
GROWING THE GAME AND INCREASING ACCESS FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF GOLFERS
A key highlight of the week was a youth development clinic held in partnership with Excel Golf, a Maryland-based nonprofit organization, with a mission to provide underrepresented youth with opportunities for personal growth through golf. Excel Golf offers structured programming that introduces young people to the sport's fundamentals while instilling critical life skills such as integrity, respect, and perseverance. More than a dozen local youth participated in the hands-on session, where LIV Golf reserve players Travis Smyth and Julian Perico shared skill-building and life lessons before leading the participants in a golf clinic.

“Our goal is to ensure every event leaves a meaningful and lasting impact on the communities we visit,” said Jake Jones, SVP of Impact & Sustainability at LIV Golf. “By working with Excel Golf, who are already embedded in the local community and do an great job of consistently providing access and coaching to young players, it’s a great feeling to be able to enhance their work with a special experience and a hands-on learning with our players to continue to fuel their interest in golf.”
At the weekend, the League welcomed over 200 youth and their families from local golf programs and local schools to Trump National Golf Course D.C. to ensure the game can be accessible and enjoyable for the whole family.

The LIV For Good community pillar was also brought to life from HyFlyers GC through their meaningful, ongoing partnership with Bunkers in Baghdad. During Sunday’s final round, the team hosted more than 20 active-duty troops at the event. Fans contributed by writing messages of appreciation at a dedicated station in the Fan Village to be sent to service members stationed overseas. The team also carried custom Bunkers in Baghdad golf bags throughout the tournament to raise awareness for the cause.
SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS REINFORCE LIV GOLF’S COMMITMENT TO THE PLANET
Maaden LIV Golf Virginia prioritized sustainable operations to minimize the event’s carbon footprint. Through its collaborations at Par5 Group, Blue Strike Environmental, and Select Events.
The event deployed hybrid power solutions to optimize energy use, minimize diesel consumption, and significantly reduce emissions. Additionally, it directed tournament waste to a local energy recovery facility that converts waste into power for 67,000 Northern Virginia homes annually. Maaden LIV Golf Virginia also saw the League’s first-ever recycled carpet procurement, by which all of the carpet for the event was made from 90% recycled plastic and is designed to be recycled again post-event. Across Hospitality and fan concessions, the majority of serviceware was BPI-certified compostable, a dedicated team on-site sorted compost and recycling operations, and over 5,000 pounds of food was distributed to Food Rescue US to limit food waste.
Through these inclusive and sustainable practices, the event underscored LIV Golf’s broader vision of growing the game with purpose while advancing a more environmentally responsible and community-focused future.
