Team Power Rankings: LIV Golf Korea
Here are the hottest teams to keep an eye on as LIV Golf Korea nears at Asiad Country Club in Busan, South Korea

LIV Golf heads to Busan, South Korea, for the eighth event of the 2026 season. It is the league’s second trip to Korea and its first at Asiad Country Club. The Rees Jones-redesigned course will play as a 7,024-yard par 70, with the narrow, tree-lined Valley nine on the front and the more scoreable Lake nine on the back. The signature hole is the 159-yard par-3 sixth, a downhill shot to an island green. With two par 5s converted to par 4s, scoring should be tougher than usual.
Here are the power rankings for all 13 teams entering LIV Golf Korea.
TEAM POWER RANKINGS
1. 4Aces GC
The 4Aces sit atop the team standings and arrive in Korea as the league’s hottest team. They have won three of the last five events — Hong Kong, Singapore and most recently Virginia, where they beat Fireballs GC in a playoff. Thomas Detry has been one of the steadiest players in professional golf this year, with four top-five finishes in seven LIV Golf starts. Anthony Kim’s closing 62 in Virginia was one of the rounds of the year. Captain Dustin Johnson remains a reliable presence and has quietly been one of the league’s best putters.
2. Fireballs GC
Captain Sergio Garcia finished solo second in Virginia in arguably his strongest individual performance of 2026, ranking second in the field in Strokes Gained Off the Tee and first in Strokes Gained Putting. David Puig has been one of the most dangerous players in the league, and Josele Ballester’s 60 in Virginia was the lowest round of the season. The Fireballs have one of the league’s most dynamic young cores and come into the week with serious momentum.
3. Legion XIII

Legion XIII started slower than expected, but a win in Mexico City and a third-place finish in Virginia have restored momentum heading into the back half of the season. Captain Jon Rahm arrives off a runner-up finish at the PGA Championship at Aronimink, continuing what has been a remarkable stretch of major championship form. Tyrrell Hatton is out this week due to the birth of his first child and will be replaced by Max Rotluff. Despite Hatton’s absence, Legion XIII will still be dangerous with Caleb Surratt is coming off his best individual result of the 2026 season with a T12 finish in Virginia and also earned his way into the U.S. Open field through final qualifying.
4. Torque GC
Torque remains one of the most frustrating teams of the 2026 season given its talent. Captain Joaquin Niemann closed with a 7-under 65 in Virginia to finish T8, flashing the form that made him a five-time individual winner in 2025, and backed that up with a T18 finish at the PGA Championship at Aronimink — his most consistent back-to-back stretch of the season. Abraham Ancer has been one of the most accurate drivers and sharpest wedge players in the field all season, and the tight, target-golf nature of Asiad's Valley course sets up perfectly for his game. Sebastián Muñoz has shown flashes but has yet to put together four strong rounds in the same week. A breakthrough for this team feels long overdue, and this could be the week the pieces finally come together.
5. Ripper GC
Ripper GC arrive in Korea on the back of their most significant result of the season — Lucas Herbert's victory at Maaden LIV Golf Virginia, the first individual LIV Golf title of his career. Herbert led wire to wire from Rd. 1 and earned the LIV Golf U.S. Open exemption in the process. Cameron Smith arrives off one of the best weeks of his 2026 season at the PGA Championship at Aronimink, adding momentum to the team. Marc Leishman has been quietly consistent all season. Ripper has the talent to compete for both titles this week, and with Herbert and Smith both playing well, they are a serious threat.
6. Crushers GC
Captain Bryson DeChambeau is the defending LIV Golf Korea champion, but he arrives in Busan carrying some uncertainty after missing the cut at the PGA Championship at Aronimink — a disappointing result following what had been a promising bounce-back week at Maaden LIV Golf Virginia. Paul Casey and Charles Howell III have been steady contributors all season, but for the Crushers to come out on top, they will need the version of DeChambeau that won events in Singapore and South Africa earlier this season.
7. Southern Guards GC

Southern Guards GC have been steady but unspectacular so far this season, but it feels as if a win is coming soon. Dean Burmester is putting together one of the most consistent seasons of his LIV Golf career. Burmester finished fourth in Virginia with four rounds in the 60s and ranked first in the field in short approach play from inside 150 yards. Branden Grace has also been strong on approach all season. Charl Schwartzel’s putter could be a factor on Asiad’s Bentgrass greens.
8. OKGC
Graeme McDowell has been one of OKGC’s quiet standouts in 2026, highlighted by a solo sixth-place finish in Virginia and a first round in which he led the field in driving accuracy. Talor Gooch has not play his best so far this season, but a shorter course that puts a premium on wedge and iron play could be a spot for the captain to break out of his slump.
9. Korean Golf Club

This is the week Korean Golf Club has targeted since the offseason. Playing at home for the first time since rebranding from Iron Heads GC, Captain Byeong Hun An and his teammates should have strong support at Asiad Country Club. Kim is a two-time Korea Open champion who knows how to win in front of Korean crowds. Korean Golf Club may also get a boost from their new addition, KPGA Tour Genesis Points leader, Doyeob Mun. The home advantage may come into play this week.
10. RangeGoats GC
Matthew Wolff has been one of the better storylines of the 2026 season, showing real signs of a resurgence with three top-10 finishes in seven starts. Peter Uihlein arrives in Korea with a major championship on the horizon after a dominant performance at U.S. Open final qualifying. He shot 67-66 to finish 9 under and top the leaderboard at Dallas Athletic Club, earning his first major start since 2018. The momentum from that performance could carry into Busan.
11. HyFlyers GC
Scott Vincent has been one of the standout stories of the last two events, highlighted by a third-round 62 in Virginia that helped him finish T8. With Captain Phil Mickelson still absent, Vincent and Brendan Steele have kept HyFlyers GC competitive. Cameron Tringale also finished well in Virginia. The HyFlyers do not have the depth of the top teams, but Vincent’s form gives them a chance to surprise.
12. Cleeks GC
Richard Bland had one of the strongest individual weeks in Virginia, shooting a bogey-free 66 in the second round and briefly climbing to solo third before finishing outside the top 10. Martin Kaymer also posted a bogey-free 68 in Round 2, a reminder of what he can still produce. Victor Perez has been solid all season. If the team’s best players peak at the same time, Cleeks GC can be feisty.
13. Majesticks GC
The Majesticks have had a difficult 2026 season and arrive in Korea needing a complete team performance to avoid another finish near the bottom. Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood are experienced veterans, but neither has found sustained form. Sam Horsfield showed signs earlier in the season. Asiad’s tighter, more technical setup could suit this veteran-heavy lineup better than some of the longer, power-oriented courses on the schedule.
