2024 U.S. Open – DeChambeau won his second U.S. Open title in dramatic fashion at Pinehurst No. 2 by shooting a 1-over 71 in the final round to win by one shot over Rory McIlroy ... He started the final round with a 3-stroke lead, briefly lost the lead on the back nine, but rallied late ... On the 72nd hole, he hit a difficult bunker shot from 55 yards to 4 feet and drained the par putt for the one-shot victory. ... "I can't believe that up and down on the last," DeChambeau said.
