player roster
Talor Gooch (USA, captain)
Gooch moved to Smash GC after winning the 2023 Individual Championship and was soon contributing to more success for his new team.
A tie for second place at Las Vegas helped Smash GC to win the team event there, and several more top-10 finishes followed as Gooch finished 10th in the overall individual standings in 2024.
Gooch – a proud Oklahoman – is ambitious for more LIV Golf success as he nears his mid-thirties, and would love the opportunity to challenge for Major titles too.
Jason Kokrak (USA)
A multiple winner on the PGA Tour, Kokrak was an early recruit to the Smash GC ranks in 2022.
Canadian born but proudly American since his early teens, Kokrak finished 23rd in the overall standings in both 2023 and 2024. His third place at The Greenbrier in late 2024 suggests that the man who used to be known as The Bomber could be a regular presence on the podium soon.
Graeme McDowell (NIR)
It’s hard to believe that McDowell’s sole Major title, the US Open, was as long ago as 2010. That cemented his reputation as one of the top European players in the game, helped by his Ryder Cup exploits that saw him sink the winning putt that same year.
McDowell began life with Smash GC with two top-10 finishes early in 2024. Now in his mid-forties, he is as ambitious as ever to compete at the highest level.
Harold Varner III (USA)
The man known as HV3 has played in every season of LIV Golf. In 2023, he won the event in Washington D.C. and finished the year seventh in the individual standings. His first top-tier professional victory came in the 2016 Australian PGA Championship, when he shot a final-round 65 to finish the tournament 19-under.
A native of Gastonia, North Carolina, Varner was a standout golfer while studying at East Carolina University and became the first player to win both the North Carolina Amateur Championship and North Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship in the same year in 2011.
