The 2026 LIV Golf season starts in February under the lights in Riyadh, and in the next few months, we’ll take a detailed look at each player competing next season. Next up is a consistent performer for HyFlyers GC, Cameron Tringale.

LOOKING AHEAD

The HyFlyers need to improve in many areas next season, but Tringale is the least of their concerns. He has never had a professional win in his career, but he does a good job of keeping big numbers off the scorecard to earn points for the team. He’s a fantastic putter that should once again prove useful if the HyFlyers make a run in the Team Championship.

LOOKING BACK

Tringale helped anchor the HyFlyers with a dependable 2025 campaign, finishing just shy of the Lock Zone. While a victory remained elusive, the veteran’s reliability was unquestionable, securing points in 10 of his 13 starts. However, Tringale’s true value emerged in the Team Championship, where he cemented his reputation as a match play specialist. He defeated the Fireballs GC (now with Torque GC) Abraham Ancer (3&1) and Legion XIII’s Ryder Cup star Tyrrell Hatton (2&1) on his way to maintaining a flawless 7-0 career singles record since joining LIV Golf.

WHAT THE STATS SAY

Strengths: In 2025, Tringale ranked 15th in scoring average (-1.31) which outranked his place in the standings (28th).

He ranked 20th in the league in Strokes Gained: Approach, gaining an average of 0.08 strokes on the field per round. He was especially dialed with his short irons and wedges. He ranked 5th in the league in Strokes Gained: Approach from 150 yards and in.

Throughout his career, Tringale has been one of the best putters in the world, and that remained the case last season. He ranked 7th in Strokes Gained: Putting, gaining an average of 0.47 strokes per round. He also ranked 13th in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+0.20), demonstrating that he has all the tools when it comes to short game. Predictably, this led to a 64% scrambling rate, which ranked in the top third of the league.

Weaknesses: Most of Tringale’s struggles were a result of poor driving. Tringale consistenly lost strokes off the tee to the field and ranked 34th in the league. Although he isn’t egregiously wild with the driver nor incredibly short, he is well below league average in both categories.

Tringale avoided big numbers due to his short game but didn’t go low often enough to contend. Only 22% of his rounds ended under par, which ranked in the bottom half of the league.

BOTTOM LINE

Tringale has never registered a professional win and only has one podium finish in his four-year LIV Golf career. His best finish last season was a T5 in Singapore. It would be unwise to expect the 38-year-old to suddenly begin to contend on a regular basis, but his 32 top-24 finishes on LIV Golf emphasize just how reliable he is. He can finish in the top 20 of the LIV Golf standings, but the HyFlyers will need some win equity on the roster if they’re to have a bounce-back season.
