SAN ROQUE, Spain– As LIV Golf Andalucía takes place this week at Real Club Valderrama, some of LIV Golf’s players have made notable equipment changes.
The defending champion, Sergio Garcia, is switching from a Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Max to a Titleist GT3.
Paul Casey is switching from Titleist 620 CB irons to Mizuno G-Forged 1025E irons. The change comes at an interesting time for the Crushers GC standout. He is coming off his best strokes gained approach performance of the season at LIV Golf Dallas, where he gained 2.05 strokes on the field per round. The Mizuno irons aren’t new to Casey, as he was using them prior to using the Titleist’s, which he put in play for only two starts (Virginia and Dallas).
Dustin Johnson is also making some notable changes. The 4Aces GC captain is switching his putter (again) from LAB DF 2.1 back to TaylorMade Spider Tour T3.0. He's also updating his fairway woods: 7-wood from TaylorMade Stealth to Qi10, 9-wood from TaylorMade Stealth to Qi10. Johnson was first spotted using the TaylorMade Stealth 7-wood and 9-wood at the PGA Championship in May 2022 and they’ve remained in his bag until now. He’s known to tinker with equipment frequently, so the informaton is subject to change.
Some other equipment changes this week include:
- Josele Ballester from Callaway Odyssey White Hot Rossie to TaylorMade Spider X.
- Abraham Ancer Updated driver shaft from Graphite Design Tour AD DI 6X to Mitsubishi Diamana GT 60 TX.
- Branden Grace switching 3 Woods from a Ping G440 Max to a TaylorMade QI35.
- Paul Casey switching golf balls from a Titleist ProV1X 2025 to a Titleist ProV1 2017.
- Tyrrell Hatton is replacing his PING i230 5 & 6 irons with the new PING i240. He’s also adding a PING IDI Forged 3-iron, replacing his 7-wood.
- Patrick Reed confirms will continue using his daughter’s Odyssey White Hot Pro 3 putter for both LIV Andalucía and The Open.
- Sebastian Munoz is switching from a PING PLD putter to a LAB Golf DF3.
- Harold Varner III is switching back to his Titleist GT3 after 3-wood after just one event with a TaylorMade Qi35 3-wood.
- Cameron Tringale is switching putters from his Odyssey Ai-One Smoke to an Odyssey White Hot.
