Multiple LIV Golf stars will have some new gear in play at Maridoe GC

CARROLLTON, Texas – As LIV Golf Dallas presented by Aramco tees off at Maridoe Golf Club, some of LIV Golf’s superstars are making notable equipment changes. Torque GC Captain Joaquin Niemann and Legion XIII Captain Jon Rahm have new putters in the bag this week (see images below).

Rahm is returning to a trusted weapon, the Callaway Odyssey White Hot Rossie OG putter, which he used to win his two major championships (2021 U.S. Open and 2023 Masters). Rahm struggled on the greens in his last start at the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club and will look to bounce back this week.

Niemann is debuting a new PLD Custom DS72 putter, moving away from his previous Ping PLD Anser. The Chilean has won four of the eight LIV Golf events this year and he won the most recent one at LIV Golf Virginia despite losing 1.38 strokes per round on the greens.

Some other equipment changes this week include:

- Cameron Tringale switching drivers from a Titleist GT3 to a Ping G440.

- Caleb Surratt switching 5 Woods from a TaylorMade QI10 to a Callaway Elyte.

- Branden Grace switching 3 Woods from a Ping G440 Max to a TaylorMade QI35.

- Paul Casey switching golf balls from a Titleist ProV1X 2025 to a Titleist ProV1 2017.
