CARROLLTON, Texas – In the blazing heat, Patrick Reed, the Lone Star State’s own “Captain America,” etched his name in the history books with a win at LIV Golf Dallas presented by Aramco. The win marks Reed’s first LIV Golf individual title as well as his first professional win in his home state of Texas.

In the end, Reed came up clutch in a four-man playoff against Paul Casey, Jinichiro Kozuma and Louis Oosthuizen .

Crushers GC won the team competition, their third consecutive title, which is one shy of the LIV Golf record for consecutive wins by a team, held by 4Aces GC (2022). Bryson DeChambeau, Paul Casey, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri each finished inside the top 11 on the individual leaderboard.

Here is a last look at some of the notable performances from LIV Golf Dallas:

LIV Golf Dallas Round of the Week

After getting deep into contention in his most recent start at the U.S. Open, Tyrrell Hatton got off to a sluggish start at LIV Golf Dallas. In the first round, the Legion XIII star shot a first 2-over 74 to find himself seven shots back.

On Saturday, Hatton woke up, firing a 7-under 65, which was the best round of the week, to vault himself up the leaderboard. The round included eight birdies and one bogey.

Hatton would finish T5, his second LIV Golf top-5 finish of the season, thanks to that impressive second-round performance.

LIV Golf Dallas Clutch Performance

Patrick Reed struggled for the first half of his round on championship Sunday, shooting 3-over as he made the turn. He couldn’t get any birdie putts to fall on the back nine but made some clutch par saves to keep himself in the race.

After a fantastic iron shot into the 18th green on the first playoff hole (followed by an elite club twirl), Reed rolled in a 20-footer to close the door and secure the win. His great iron shot from the rough coupled with making a difficult sidewinding putt highlighted the grit and perseverance of the 4Aces star.

After the round, Reed spoke about the shot that won the tournament.

“When I hit it, I knew it was going to be good distance-wise,” Reed said. “The biggest thing is out of the rough, the ball gets so squirrelly, you don't know if it's going to go with the wind or stay straight. I felt like I made a quality golf swing there and I felt like I got rewarded for staying straight rather than drifting with the wind.”

LIV Golf Dallas Under the Radar Performers

Jinichiro Kozuma: Jinichiro Kozuma’s standout performance may not have gone unnoticed, as he battled in a high-stakes playoff with a chance to claim his first LIV Golf title. Still, his remarkable showing deserves acclaim. His T2 finish marked a career-best on LIV Golf, underscoring his critical role on an Iron Heads GC team craving a spark.

“At the time when I had to take some time off, I was a little worried how I would come back and play,” said Kozuma, who missed the first five tournaments this season with a back injury. “But it actually paid off. Right now, I'm playing really well. I hope I play better in the other events coming up.”

Kozuma got progressively better as the week went on, shooting rounds of 72-70-68. He’s now jumped to 29th in the individual season standings despite only four starts.

Anthony Kim: Anthony Kim finished T25 this week, his best finish on LIV Golf. Although he was just short of finishing in the top 24 and earning his first points, the performance was a significant improvement and a clear sign that he may just need a little more time to put it all together after 12 years away from golf.

Kim shot a 2-under par 70 on Sunday in difficult conditions.

Cameron Tringale: Captain Phil Mickelson has been the best player for HyFlyers GC this season. As admirable as it is for a 54-year-old to lead the charge on the golf course, there’s no denying that the HyFlyers need more out of their other three players.

Cameron Tringale stepped up and delivered a strong performance for the team, shooting the low round of the day on Sunday, a 5-under 67 that got him into the top 10 on the individual leaderboard for the second time this season (T5 in Singapore). Tringale is now 32nd in the individual standings.

LIV Golf Dallas Statistical Standouts

Patrick Reed: Gained 4.35 strokes off the tee, which ranked 3rd in the field. Reed has been working on gaining distance off the tee this season, but his ability to control his trajectory and hit fairways this week is what spurred him to victory.

Paul Casey: Gained 5.04 strokes on approach, which led the field. Casey made a career out of being one of the best ball-strikers in the world and once again had his iron game dialed in this week.

Jinichiro Kozuma: Gained 4.62 strokes around the green for the week, which ranked 2nd in the field, trailing only Richard Bland. Kozuma showed his terrific hands around the green time and time again on Sunday as he made a charge up the leaderboard to get into a four-man playoff.

LIV Golf Dallas Veteran Resurgence

Paul Casey put forth an outstanding effort in an attempt to win his first LIV Golf individual title. Despite coming up just short in the four-man individual playoff, the strong performance from the Englishman helped Crushers GC earn their third consecutive LIV Golf team win.

Casey shot rounds of 71-67-72 to finish T2, his best finish of the season and tied for his best finish on LIV Golf. After the round, the 48-year-old acknowledged the bittersweet feeling of losing the individual tournament in a playoff but also winning as a team.

“Losing in a playoff, I'm always a bit pissed off usually. But that's understandable. But then you kind of see the joy on these guys' faces, so it kind of -- like I'm sitting here smiling because I know what it means for Bryson, the effort that he's put into this week. For us this was like a little Crushers home game, hospitality that you could see down 15. Bryson lives just down the road, home crowd. He put in so much effort and time.”

Stinger GC Captain Louis Oosthuizen also made the playoff; his T2 finish was his best result this season – and his third runner-up since the start of the 2024 season. Oosthuizen bounced back from a bogey at the par-4 18th on Sunday with birdies on his final two holes, but after returning to 18 for the playoff, his drive found the water. A terrific third shot left him with an opportunity to salvage par, but he never got the chance after Reed poured in his birdie putt.

“Felt like I played good today,” said Oosthuizen. “I felt really comfortable putting. Like on a few driver setups, there's a few things I still need to work on.”

LIV Golf Dallas Young Gun Spotlight

Tom McKibbin of Legion XIII shot rounds of 71-71-69 to finish T5, his best result since joining LIV Golf in the offseason. After LIV Golf plays at Valderrama, the Northern Irishman will represent the league at the Open Championship. McKibbin earned a place in the major championship due to his performance on the DP World Tour last year.

McKibbin is only 22 years old and one of the rising stars in the game of golf.

LIV Golf Dallas Quotes of the Week

Paul Casey on the challenge of Maridoe Golf Club:

“There's really only one guy that won this week. That was P-Reed. The golf course won, thanks to Maridoe and Mr. Huddleston. We all got beaten up, plain and simple.”

Bryson DeChambeau on growing the Crushers GC brand globally:

“The game of golf is ready for change. We continue to hope to see the game of golf move in this team direction. Obviously, the game of golf will always be an individual sport. We'll always play for individual titles. But why not have a team aspect as well to it. Why can't we have more fun together? Why can't we build something special? Why can't we influence and inspire the next generation of golfers as a team? We want people to have that fandom like you have with the Lakers, like you have with the Yankees and stuff. It's going to take time. We all know that. And the people that are looking at us going, what is this, why is it even a thing, well, the Yankees had to start somewhere, the Lakers had to start somewhere, and we're just at the inception.”

Sergio Garcia on his upcoming 5-week stretch:

"It's a five-week stretch, so it's going to be Dallas, BMW Munich, Valderrama, British Open and JCB, so it's a big stretch. But thankfully I'm doing well physically, even at my age, and hopefully I'll be able to get through the five weeks well.”

Patrick Reed on winning in a playoff after shooting a final-round 75:

“You definitely not only had to hit the ball solid but you had to manage your game around this place because with the wind swirling and pumping quite a bit and with how hot it was, you know how it is in Texas, one minute there's no wind, the next minute it's blowing 20. It was a mental and physical grind out there and luckily we were able to get the job done.”
