Top two finishers in the 2025 International Series rankings not already exempt to also earn places in the League for 2026

LONDON and NEW YORK – Following a thrilling conclusion to the LIV Golf season that celebrated Jon Rahm earning the 2025 Individual Champion title in Indianapolis and his Legion XIII capturing the 2025 LIV Golf Team Championship in Michigan, the League has confirmed that it has increased its qualifying opportunities for 2026 through both The International Series and LIV Golf Promotions.

“LIV Golf continues to expand pathways for players around the world to qualify into the first truly global golf league," said LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil. “As fan interest in LIV Golf continues to increase and the opportunity to compete across the U.S., Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East against some of the biggest names in golf grows, it’s only natural that we broaden access for talented, ambitious players to earn their way into the league.”

LIV Golf has expanded its exemptions from one to two players through The International Series, a set of elevated events sanctioned by the Asian Tour. The top two players in the final 2025 International Series rankings, not already exempt, will gain a LIV Golf spot for 2026. The global series has hosted events this year across India, Macau, Japan, Morocco, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong, with two events remaining. Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent (325.59 points) and the Philippines’ Miguel Tabuena (221.19 points) currently sit in first and second place, respectively, as the series heads into its final two tournaments: the Moutai Singapore Open (November 6-9) and the PIF Saudi International presented by SoftBank Investment Advisers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (November 19-22).

“We offer a proven pathway onto the LIV Golf League and with this season’s route offering not one but two opportunities to progress, there is a real life-changing opportunity for our players to grasp,” said Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series. “The International Series is committed to presenting our players with opportunity, be it the pathway to LIV Golf or the majors, or the chance to compete with world-class players. We also provide talent on the regional level with the chance to compete against proven champions, and recent results – where Asian Tour players have triumphed, is clear evidence that standards are rising because of The International Series.”

The League has also unveiled details for the third edition of LIV Golf Promotions, presenting exciting pathways for elite players from across the globe to earn their place in the LIV Golf League and The International Series for 2026. The tournament will be staged January 8-11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida, with four rounds of stroke-play over four days. The League will now reward the top two finishers with a full-season spot in the 2026 LIV Golf League, an increase from one spot in 2025. The top 10 finishers, including ties, will earn full exemption into the 2026 International Series, sanctioned by the Asian Tour. LIV Golf Promotions also offers a prize purse of US $1.5 million.

Highlighting the global aspect of the LIV Golf League, leading players from all over the world will be eligible to participate. In addition, LIV Golf League players without a team commitment for 2026 who finished the season in the standings’ Open Zone (25th-48th), as well as relegated players (49th-54th) have the opportunity to regain their playing rights for 2026. A full breakdown of eligibility criteria, including qualifiers for Round 1 and Round 2, is below.

LIV Golf Promotions will consist of four rounds of 18-hole stroke play. Starting Thursday, January 8, those who finish in the top 20 and ties from round one will advance to Friday’s round two, where scores will reset, and the field will be joined by a category of players who automatically qualified for day two of competition. The top 20 players and any ties following round two will advance to the third day of competition, with scores reset once more. An intense two-day, 36-hole shootout will commence, and at Sunday’s conclusion, the top two finishers will earn two highly coveted spots in the LIV Golf League for 2026, as well as $200,000 for first place and $150,000 for second place.

The tournament will take place on The Ranch course at Black Diamond Ranch, designed by famed architect Tom Fazio. The course features doglegs, length, and elevation changes with fairways framed by oaks, sand, and native vegetation that will present a championship test for players. Fazio has said that the Ranch's 16th, 17th and 18th holes represent the three best finishing holes he has ever designed, setting up a dramatic finish for the competition.

Details on the global broadcast of LIV Golf Promotions will be announced in the lead-up to the tournament. Click here for more information on the event.
