Giving Tuesday, the global generosity movement, is being celebrated today, November 28, across the world.

With its Potential, Unleashed initiative, LIV Golf strives for a better tomorrow. Here’s a report on the efforts and successes to date, along with an announcement of three grants in honor of Giving Tuesday.

The season of giving allows us a moment to reflect on the impact LIV Golf was able to make this past season on a global scale.

Across 14 events, the league and its teams supported more than 50 non-profits while impacting 120,000 lives. Five community partners joined our flagship program, LIV to Learn, which supports young people who lack the educational opportunities and skills needed to thrive and fulfill their potential. Three other partners are involved in our Transform the Game program, that creates pathways into employment in the golf industry, particularly for those from communities that have traditionally been excluded.

Our first-ever summer internship program was launched, and we also piloted our mentorship program in Chicago.

From a LIV Green sustainability perspective, more than 47,000 pounds of food was donated, 260 tons of waste was kept from landfills, and over 240,000 plastic water bottles were avoided.

From Mayakoba to Miami, memorable community events were held in alignment with our ambitious Impact and Sustainability strategy, Potential, Unleashed.

In Mayakoba, we launched our partnership with Futbol Mas, which added golf to its traditional programming in hopes of growing the game with children in regions of Mexico. In London, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC joined members of England and Wales Blind Golf Association on the course to test their skills blindfolded. In Chicago, the all-South African Stinger GC joined our 2022 partners, Kids Golf Foundation, at their program site to teach kids life skills, putting skills, and more.

All 12 LIV Golf teams donated their time to participate in the league’s social impact activations, and some teams even took the next step by launching their own initiatives, such as Majesticks GC’s Little Sticks and Smash GC’s Smash for Success programs.

Those are just a few of the highlights – and we’re very grateful to all the communities and organizations that welcomed us with open arms.

In honor of Giving Tuesday, we’ve selected three organizations to receive grants to support the impact they’re making in their realm of expertise. All organizations selected are based in or near our centers of operation and are organizations we were able to work with to some capacity this past season.

Marine Education Initiative – a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing marine conservation through education.

Leveling the Playing Field – a non-profit organization that redistributes sports equipment to expand access and equity within youth sports and recreation programs in under-resourced communities.

Black British Golfers – a non-profit organization that is dedicated to inspiring Future Shapers (current and future generations of underrepresented communities) to actively take up and participate in golf and its commercial ecosystem.

Each of these organizations are creating sustained impacts, and LIV Golf is proud to support their efforts. We cannot wait to see all that we are able to accomplish in 2024 and are excited to have you follow along on our journey.
