Team Power Rankings for LIV Golf Indianapolis

Aug 12, 2025 - 1:00 PMWritten by: Matt Vincenzi

As LIV Golf heads to The Club at Chatham Hills for its 13th stop on the 14-event schedule, the 2025 season is reaching its climax with the Individual Championship and team standings on the line. This marks the first time LIV Golf has played in Indianapolis. The Club at Chatham Hills is a par-71, 7,143-yard Pete Dye-designed course. The course will be tricky around the greens and feature undulated fairways and Bentgrass Greens. The course is visually impressive and features included rolling hills, wooded areas and some water. Hole Nos. 3 and 10 will be drivable par fours for the League’s longest hitters.

TEAM POWER RANKINGS: LIV GOLF INDIANAPOLIS

1. FIREBALLS GC

Fireballs GC has been trending with finishes of 2nd, T4 and T3 in their past three starts. The Fireballs had a strong Chicago performance, with rookie Josele Ballester nearly stealing the show, finishing T2 (9-under) in a playoff and leading the field in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee (+1.87 per round). Captain Sergio Garcia was dialed with his approach shots on Sunday and should carry that momentum into this week. Abraham Ancer has a fantastic history on Pete Dye tracks and I expect him to contend on the individual side this week.

2. LEGION XIII

Legion XIII continues to have the best top-to-bottom roster on LIV Golf. Captain Jon Rahm, who has arguably the highest floor of any player in the league, should be involved once again this week as he looks to chase down Torque GC Captain Joaquin Niemann in the individual points race. Their four team wins this season lead the League, but they’ll need a strong performances this week from Tyrrell Hatton and their two young but inconsistent talents Tom McKibbin and Caleb Surratt.

3. TORQUE GC

Torque GC is headed in the right direction after a runner-up finish at Chicago, where Captain Joaquin Niemann and Carlos Ortiz gave Stinger GC all they could handle before falling one shot shy in the team playoff. Niemann should be primed for a bounce-back week given his history of winning every other event this season and Ortiz was sensational last week in Chicago. His 65 in Round 2 was tied him for the week’s best round. Sebastian Munoz has ben one of the most consistent players in the league this year and Mito Pereira is hungry for points to avoid relegation.

4. CRUSHERS GC

Crushers GC struggled to a T8 result at LIV Golf Chicago, with Captain Bryson DeChambeau struggling on Sunday to the tune of a 3-over 74 while in contention. Paul Casey has been fantastic and is coming off a T5 finish last week. His stellar track record on Pete Dye tracks should give the Crushers a boost this week.

5. STINGER GC

Stinger GC may be on a bit of a comedown after a dominant but emotional showing at LIV Golf Chicago, securing both the individual title with Dean Burmester and the team crown in a playoff against Torque GC. Captain Louis Oosthuizen put faith in his teammates Branden Grace and Charl Schwartzel, and it paid off with the pair delivering playoff birdies to seal the deal. Grace’s resurgence and Schwartzel’s consistency are paying off as we near the end of the 2025 season.

6. 4ACES GC

4Aces GC remain solid but unspectacular and finished T3 at LIV Golf Chicago, despite never truly threatening the told of the leaderboard. The Aces were led by Harold Varner III’s incredible putting week (+2.42 per round), moving him for the time being into the lock zone. Captain Dustin Johnson once again showed signs of form, but didn't put three rounds together. Thomas Pieters (T20) earned 11.50 points to enter the Lock Zone as well.

7. RIPPER GC

Ripper GC posted a T8 at LIV Golf Chicago, which is more of the same from the all-Australian team. The team has now finished between 6th and 8th in four consecutive events. Until they get a superstar performance out of Captain Cameron Smith, I expect more mediocre play from Ripper.

8. HYFLYERS GC

After showing some promising signs over the past month or so, HyFlyers GC fell back to finished 10th at LIV Golf Chicago, putting their momentum to a screeching halt. There will be pressure to perform this week for Brendan Steele, who had a poor showing last week, and Andy Ogletree, who’s desperately trying to avoid relegation.

9. CLEEKS GOLF CLUB

Cleeks Golf Club struggled in Chicago, finishing 12th. Richard Bland continues to defy Father Time and perform well for the Cleeks and finished T10 in Chicago. It's Bland’s teammates who haven't contributed enough to get the Cleeks on the podium. Without an outlier performance from one of the other three players on the team, the Cleeks will once again struggle.

10. RANGEGOATS GC

RangeGoats GC finished 7th at LIV Golf Chicago, with Captain Bubba Watson (T17) leading the charge. Watson’s recent run isn’t enough to lift this squad on a tough layout. They’ll need something from their youngest player, Matthew Wolff , if they’re to compete with some of the stacked teams at the top of the LIV Golf team standings.

11. SMASH GC

Talor Gooch has clearly figured something out beginning with his incredible victory at Valderrama. His hot form has continued and he’s now finished in the top 10 in five of his past six starts. Captain Brooks Koepka will need to help lead the charge at Chatham Hills.

12. IRON HEADS GC

Iron Heads GC has relied on Jinichiro Kozuma all season, but recently, Kozuma’s form has slipped. In his past two starts, Kozuma has finished T50 and T47. Captain Kevin Na, Danny Lee and Yubin Jang have had extremely dissapointing seasons for the Iron Heads.

13. MAJESTICKS GC

As we approach the last week for Majesticks GC Co-Captains Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson and Lee Westwood to make a move to earn a place in the league for 2026, it feels extremely likely that we will see a different Majesticks roster in 2026. If Poulter doesn’t finish somewhere in the top 15 range or better this week, his fate will be all but sealed.
