Team Power Rankings: LIV Golf New York

As LIV Golf heads to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster for LIV Golf New York, the stage is set for the 11th stop on the 2026 schedule. It's been nearly three years since the league's last visit to Bedminster, and 33 players from that 2023 field return to a course that has only gotten tougher. The total yardage has been stretched by more than 125 yards, with new back tees adding length to the ninth, 13th and 16th holes.

Trump National Bedminster opened in 2004 under the design of Tom Fazio and has been ranked among the top 100 courses in America by Golf magazine. At 7,651 yards and playing to a par of 71, it's the second-longest course the league has played this season, trailing only Trump National Washington D.C. The course previously hosted LIV Golf events in 2022 and 2023, with Henrik Stenson and 4Aces GC taking the individual and team titles in the first year, and Cameron Smith and Ripper GC sweeping both trophies in the second.

Smith's victory remains the largest margin in league history — a 12-under total that beat Anirban Lahiri by seven shots — and he arrives back at Bedminster with his Ripper GC squad in peak form after a record-setting rout at LIV Golf United Kingdom Presented by JCB.

Jon Rahm still leads the season-long individual race but saw his cushion shrink by more than 100 points after a T23 finish in England, snapping a streak of 35 consecutive tournaments inside the top 20.

TEAM POWER RANKINGS

1. LEGION XIII

Legion XIII's year has been defined by stellar seasons from Tyrrell Hatton and Jon Rahm. Hatton was runner-up at LIV Golf United Kingdom, finishing second at 24 under, and has now finished first (Andalucía) and second (UK) in his last two starts. Rahm, meanwhile, had his lone rough week of the season in England, finishing T23 — the first time all year he's finished outside the top 20 in any of his 35 completed regular-season events.

Still, Rahm's season-long points lead survives, even if it's been trimmed. Legion XIII finished second as a team in England, and Caleb Surratt's T5 finish gives the roster three players who've all contended recently. A bounce-back week from Rahm at a course that will demand precision off the tee and command of the approach game could keep Legion XIII's season on track for a title push.

2. TORQUE GC

Joaquin Niemann's relative struggles continued in England, where he finished T28 at 3 under after a disappointing follow-up to his brilliant 2025 win at JCB. But the rest of the roster picked up the slack: Abraham Ancer tied for fifth and Carlos Ortiz was 10th, helping Torque GC to a fourth-place team finish.

Ancer's Strokes Gained: Approach numbers have been trending well all season, and with two players inside the top 10 in England, Torque GC has the pieces to contend even while its captain searches for form. A bounce-back week from Niemann would make this team dangerous.

3. RIPPER GC

There isn't a hotter team in the league right now. Ripper GC swept both trophies at LIV Golf United Kingdom, with Lucas Herbert going wire-to-wire and shooting a record 30 under to win by six shots — his second wire-to-wire title in his last four starts — while Cameron Smith carded a solo fourth, his best individual finish of the season. As a team, Ripper GC ran away with the event.

Now the Rippers return to the scene of their first team victory. Smith's seven-shot win at Bedminster in 2023 is the largest margin of victory by an individual in LIV Golf history, and he'll have teammate Marc Leishman (T7 in 2023) alongside him again. Herbert has never played the course, but Smith likes his team's chances regardless: "I think Australians in general like really tough golf courses," he said, "and this one is probably one of the toughest ones we'll have on the schedule all year." With the team trophy race down to less than three points over 4Aces GC, Ripper GC arrives as the team to beat.

4. 4ACES GC

The 4Aces remain the season-long team points leaders, though that cushion over Ripper GC has shrunk to less than three points. Anthony Kim's T12 keeps his breakout season rolling — he sits seventh in the individual standings — and Thomas Pieters' T23 gives the roster some depth, but Dustin Johnson's tie for 52nd was one of his rougher weeks of the year.

Bedminster has been kind to the 4Aces before as they won the team trophy here in 2022, the course's first year hosting the league. The roster is different now, but the team still profiles well for a tougher golf course like Bedminster.

5. CRUSHERS GC

Bryson DeChambeau continues to play some great golf individually, finishing third at LIV Golf UK after a strong showing at The Open Championship. Charles Howell III backed him up with a T7, and the Crushers finished third as a team.

There's course history here too. Anirban Lahiri was the runner-up the last time LIV Golf visited Bedminster in 2023, falling seven shots short of Cameron Smith. With DeChambeau playing the best golf of anyone not named Herbert or Hatton right now, the Crushers have momentum heading into the week.

6. SOUTHERN GUARDS GC

Southern Guards GC got balanced contributions in England, with Dean Burmester and Branden Grace both tying for 17th and Charl Schwartzel adding a T22. As a team, they finished sixth at 21 under, a solid if unspectacular result that mirrors their season-long standing.

Grace's ball-striking has been a quiet strength for this group, and with a roster that plays clean, fairways-and-greens golf, Bedminster's demanding test should suit them well. They're not flashy, but Southern Guards GC has been steady all year.

7. FIREBALLS GC

Fireballs GC boasts as much individual talent as almost any team in the league, but England was an uneven week. David Puig tied for 12th at 9 under and Josele Ballester rebounded from a slow start to tie for 20th, but Sergio Garcia struggled to a tie for 42nd at 1 over.

The talent is unquestionably there — Puig sits eighth in the individual standings — but the Fireballs need more consistent weeks from the full roster to match their season-long ceiling. Bedminster's brutal length could either reward their power but just as easily can expose their flaws.

8. MAJESTICKS GOLF CLUB

Majesticks Golf Club quietly had its best week of the season at JCB, finishing fifth — a significant step up from a squad that has struggled much of 2026. Laurie Canter was the headliner, tying for seventh for his best finish of the year, while Ian Poulter chipped in an impressive T15.

Lee Westwood's even-par week didn't help the cause, but the underlying team performance was encouraging. If Canter can carry his form into Bedminster and the rest of the roster follows suit, the Majesticks could keep building on their best stretch of the season.

9. CLEEKS GOLF CLUB

Victor Perez continued his encouraging recent form, tying for 23rd after a solid week at The Open Championship. Martin Kaymer added a tie for 31st, giving Cleeks Golf Club a modest but respectable week.

There isn't a ton separating the middle tier of this league right now, and the Cleeks fit squarely in that group — capable of a solid finish but lacking a true standout performance to push them higher in the rankings this week.

10. RANGEGOATS GOLF CLUB

Bubba Watson's momentum from Korea cooled off at JCB, where he tied for 31st at 2 under. Peter Uihlein was the bright spot, tying for 15th while Matthew Wolff continued to struggle. As a team, the RangeGoats finished 10th.

Watson's ball-striking numbers have been strong for stretches of 2026, and Uihlein has quietly been a reliable contributor. But I'm not sure a team that struggles with driving accuracy sets up well for a course that will heavily punish any missed fairways.

11. OKGC

OKGC got a strong individual week from Harold Varner III, who tied for seventh, but the rest of the roster couldn't back him up. Talor Gooch managed only a T45, and Graeme McDowell and Jason Kokrak both finished well over par, dragging the team to a next-to-last finish at JCB.

Varner's form is a positive, but OKGC needs far more from the depth of its lineup to climb these rankings. Right now, the roster has shown the top-to-bottom consistency to contend for a team title.

12. HYFLYERS GC

Scott Vincent's steady week (T28) kept HyFlyers GC afloat individually, but the team as a whole finished last.

Vincent remains a dependable piece, but the roster around him hasn't found its footing, and Bedminster's length and demanding approach shots won't make things easier this week.

13. KOREAN GOLF CLUB

Byeong Hun An was the one positive for Korean Golf Club in England, finishing 11th with strong ball-striking statistics throughout the week. But the rest of the roster couldn't contribute meaningfully, and the team sits 13th in the season-long standings.

An has the game to contend individually on any given week, and Bedminster's approach-heavy demands could suit his iron play. But until Korean Golf Club gets more from its supporting cast, it's difficult to rank them any higher than the back of the pack.
