Smash GC had its best showing yet of the 2026 season, finishing runner-up (-52) at HSBC LIV Golf Hong Kong. Harold Varner III also had his best performance of the season by placing fourth (-18), and Graeme McDowell made the 14th hole-in-one in league history.
G-Mac recorded the ace with a 7-iron at the 181-yard fifth in Friday’s second round. He said that’s his 15th career hole-in-one.
“They're all kind of becoming a bit of a blur over the years,” McDowell said. “It's been about 30 years of them. They're all fun. They're all special. Nice to do it with a card in your pocket in a tournament. I think that's probably half-a-dozen maybe in tournament play.”
Here are the other team members' individual results:
McDowell: T8 (-14)
Captain Talor Gooch: T18 (-11)
Jason Kokrak: T31 (-9)
In the season-long individual standings, Varner III is 13th with 62.70 points, McDowell is 18th (44.86 points), Gooch is 19th (42 points), and Kokrak is 30th (30.01 points).
