HYFLYERS GC REVIEW
TEAM: HyFlyers GC ended the season on a high note, upsetting Fireballs GC in the quarterfinals of the LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship as the 10th seed before falling to eventual champion Legion XIII in the semifinals. Despite the strong showing in Michigan, the HyFlyers fell short of their overall expectations in 2025. They only managed to finish on the podium once, and two of their four players finished worse than 45th in the Individual standings. Captain Phil Mickelson was a bright spot, producing his best LIV Golf season as the only member of the team to finish the season in the Lock Zone (24th). Andy Ogletree (50th) finished in the Drop Zone and will be relegated for the 2026 season.
Late to the post because we were too busy celebrating Camo’s birthday, but we took home FIFTH PLACE in the team championship this year! The guys fought hard all weekend and this is a well deserved ending to another unpredictable LIV Golf season.

PLAYERS (FINAL POINTS RANKING)
Phil Mickelson (24): Mickelson proved once again that even at the age of 55 he can still compete with some of the best players in the world. Mickelson had three top-10 finishes on the season, with his best result coming at LIV Golf Hong Kong (3rd) – his first career podium finish on LIV Golf. He found himself in contention in Virginia and dazzled the crowd with one of the best shots of the season, chipping in with a flop shot from the greenside rough (see video below). The six-time major champion could use some help on the HyFlyers roster, but he certainly did his part as the team’s leader both on and off the golf course in 2025.
Cameron Tringale (28): Tringale had a solid year for the HyFlyers, finishing just outside of the Lock Zone. Although he didn’t register a finish better than T5 all season, the veteran displayed remarkable consistency, finishing with points (top 24) in 10 of his 13 starts. Perhaps more impressive, Tringale has also proven himself to be a match play specialist and improved to 7-0 in singles while on LIV Golf, beating Abraham Ancer of Fireballs GC 3&1and current Ryder Cup member Tyrrell Hatton of Legion XIII, 2&1.
Brendan Steele (45): Steele had an uncharacteristically poor season, narrowly escaping the Drop Zone after finishing inside the Lock Zone in both 2023 (19th) and 2024 (24th). His best finish of the season was T15 (Virginia and Andalucía). His woes stemmed from a balky putter, where he ranked 48th for the season in Strokes Gained: Putting. Steele has been a steady contributor for the HyFlyers, but he’ll want to show in 2026 that his 2025 season was an outlier rather than a sign of things to come.
Andy Ogletree (50): The season ended in heartbreaking fashion for Ogletree, who made a valiant effort to escape the Lock Zone but came up just short at the season’s final individual event in Indianapolis. The former U.S. Amateur champion earned his spot on LIV Golf after a dominant 2023 Asian Tour season, winning both the International Series Qatar and England, earning a full-time spot with HyFlyers GC in 2024. A wrist injury derailed his debut season, and the issue persisted in 2025.
