The 2026 LIV Golf season starts next February under the lights in Riyadh, and in the next few months, we’ll take a detailed look at each player competing next season. Next up is one of the world’s most popular players and captain of Crushers GC, Bryson DeChambeau.
LOOKING AHEAD
Bryson DeChambeau is one of the most exciting players in the game and brings a great deal to LIV Golf both on and off the golf course. He’s played extremely well but has not produced a dominant LIV Golf season ... yet. With his talent and ability to overpower golf courses, a Joaquin Niemann-like season where he racks up a handful or more victories may be inevitable.
Over the past two seasons, DeChambeau ranks third among all players across all tours in Strokes Gained: Total in major championships, trailing only Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele. He will undoubtedly be a factor in one or more majors next season, beginning with the Masters, where he’s improved his finish in two consecutive seasons (T6 in 2024, T5 in 2025).
LOOKING BACK
As one of the best players in the world, it’s somewhat surprising that DeChambeau has only one individual victory in the last two seasons on LIV Golf. The Crushers GC captain has been LIV Golf’s best major championship performer, winning the 2024 U.S. Open to go along with five additional top 10 major finishes.
DeChambeau displayed excellent consistency in 2025, finishing inside of the top 20 in 12 of 13 events, with the only exception being a T30 finish in Spain.
The 32-year-old also prides himself on his ability to lead the Crushers GC to victory, which he did three times in 2025, and nine times overall.

WHAT THE STATS SAY
Strengths: DeChambeau is among the world's elite drivers of the golf ball, if not the very best. His borderline supernatural ability to hit the ball long and straight was once again on full display in 2025. He led the league in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, gaining 1.58 strokes on the field per round, almost a half-stroke better per round than the second-ranked player, Jon Rahm (+1.09). He ranked T2 in Par 5 scoring, trailing only Rahm.
DeChambeau ranked 18th in Strokes Gained: Putting, which is a strong performance by his standards. The two-time major winner gets his due credit as one of the best drivers in the game, but his ability to make clutch putts on a regular basis probably doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
Weaknesses: DeChambeau struggled by his standards with his iron play over the last two seasons, which is what held him back from earning more individual wins in that span. While not poor, his ranking of 18th in Strokes Gained: Approach wasn’t among the league’s elite.

BOTTOM LINE
DeChambeau is playing some of the best golf of his career and should be a serious contender to win multiple LIV Golf events as well as continue to contend in major championships. He is still tinkering with both his clubs and golf ball to improve his consistency and spin control with his wedges and iron shots; if he solves that issue, he could turn what has been a two-way battle between Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann for the Individual Championship the last two years into a three-man race in 2026.
