FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Despite a furious charge from the United States, Europe won the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black by a final score of 15-13. The road team led 11.5-4.5 entering Sunday Singles, but Keegan Bradley’s team put a rally together, outscoring Europe 8.5-3.5 on Sunday.

Here are 10 observations from Sunday at the 2025 Ryder Cup:

1. DeChambeau’s resilience: After being 5 down through seven holes, Bryson DeChambeau won five of his next 10 holes to tie the match going into the 18th hole. Both players made a par on the 18th and DeChambeau was able to earn a half point.

2. DeChambeau’s passion: Despite the United States losing the Ryder Cup, DeChambeau displayed incredible passion and energy throughout the day, exemplifying what he means to Team USA.

3. Just keep swimming: After the round, DeChambeau was emotional: “I gave it everything I had today for the team. Like my dad always said, you just have to keep swimming, you can’t give up.”

4. Scheffler praises DeChambeau's leadership: “The fight that Bryson showed today and yesterday, I mean, the way he played in our match in the afternoon was amazing, and I don't think I could have done what I did in my match today if he didn't do what he was doing in front of me. He's an emotional leader of our team and he's been great.”

5. 5-under round: DeChambeau tied the match with Matthew Fitzpatrick, however he shot 5-under whereas Fitzpatrick shot 3-under.

6. DeChambeau and Rahm heavily featured: Very few players play in all five Ryder Cup sessions, and it’s usually reserved for the best of the best. This year, DeChambeau was only of only three Americans to play in all five, joining Scheffler and Patrick Cantlay. Rahm was also one of three players on the European side, joining Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood.

7. Hatton undefeated: Despite sitting a session, Tyrrell Hatton earned 3.5 out of a possible four points. He was one of only two players on either team to end the week undefeated. Shane Lowry went 0-1-2.

8. Rahm’s contributions: Europe relied heavily on Rahm, who played in all five possible sessions and earned three points, which ranked 4th on the team behind Tommy Fleetwood (4), Rory McIlroy (3.5) and Hatton (3.5).

9. Rahm’s thoughts: After the win, Rahm spoke about the United States’ furious charge: “It's golf. Sports. It's the reason why on Sunday you play 12 points. A lot of things can change, and it did today. Again, the U.S. did what they needed to, made great putts. That kind of set the tone and then the cheers keep happening and you can feel it throughout the whole golf course, and the boys in the hardest position of all were able to hold on and get it done.”

10. Overall records: Rahm (9-5-3), Hatton (8-4-3), DeChambeau (3-6-2).
