Team Power Rankings for LIV Golf Chicago

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. – As LIV Golf heads to Bolingbrook Golf Club for its 12th stop on the 14-event schedule, the season is heading toward a climactic conclusion with both the Individual Championship and Team Championship quickly approaching. Last year at Bolingbrook, Jon Rahm claimed his second LIV Golf individual title and Crushers GC took the team title in what proved to be a difficult test of golf. The par-71, 7,224-yard course will demand accuracy off the tee and strong approach play.
TEAM POWER RANKINGS: LIV GOLF CHICAGO
1. LEGION XIII
Legion XIII tops the rankings once again after winning back-to-back at events at LIV Golf Andalucía and LIV Golf UK by JCB. The powerhouse team has won four times this season and is gaining momentum as the 2025 season nears its end. As if the dynamic duo of Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton weren’t daunting enough for Legion XIII’s competitors, the recent emergence of the team's young guns, Tom McKibbin and Caleb Surratt, make them even more dominant. McKibbin has not finished worse than T11 in each of his last starts, with his best finish coming in the form of a T4 at LIV Golf Andalucía. Surratt is coming off the first podium finish of his LIV Golf career after a third-place finish at LIV Golf UK.
2. FIREBALLS GC
After starting the season on fire with wins at Adelaide, Hong Kong and Singapore, Fireballs GC cooled off for a stretch in the middle of the season. Recently, the Sergio Garcia-led squad is beginning to rediscover their form and they’ve now finished in the top 5 in three consecutive events. In 2024, the Fireballs finished 3rd at Bolingbrook, just two shots behind Crushers GC. Garcia led the charge, finishing T2. Now, Garcia’s teammates enter the week beginning to hit their stride. Abraham Ancer, David Puig and Josele Ballester all have a top-14 finish in their past three starts.
3. CRUSHERS GC
Crushers GC will look to defend their 2024 title at Bolingbrook this week but aren’t entering the week in the form they were in when they reeled off three straight victories at Korea, Virginia and Dallas. The Crushers follow the lead of Captain Bryson DeChambeau, who’s not quite performed up to his incredibly lofty standards over his last three LIV Golf starts where he’s finished T9, T30, T11. At Bolingbrook, DeChambeau will need to dial in his wedges, which has been an area of weakness this season for the two-time U.S. Open champion. Last year, Anirban Lahiri finished T6 at Bolingbrook alongside DeChambeau. Paul Casey finished T13.
4. 4ACES GC
I was high on 4Aces GC at LIV Golf UK by JCB, and admittedly, I could not have been more off the mark. However, I will double down this week as I expect the team to have a bounce back week at Bolingbrook. 4Aces Captain Dustin Johnson struggled mightily at JCB, but given that he was in solid form prior to the week, I’m willing to bet that it was an aberration. Johnson has won three LIV Golf events and all three have come in the United States. Thomas Pieters finished T11 at Bolingbrook last year and played his college golf at Illinois. I believe he could be a dark horse to win this week. Patrick Reed and Harold Varner III have been consistent performers for the 4Aces.
5. RIPPER GC
Ripper GC struggled at Bolingbrook last year, but I believe Captain Cameron Smith is set on proving his detractors wrong and finishing the 2025 season with a bang. Smith has slowly but surely regained some form over his past three LIV Golf starts, finishing T13, T7 and 10th. His driving accuracy has always been his biggest weakness, but if he can keep the ball in play this week, he’s as deadly with a wedge in his hands as any player in the league. Marc Leishman is coming off a T11 finish at JCB and continues to be one of the best iron players on LIV Golf this season.
6. TORQUE GC
Torque GC Captain Joaquin Niemann is coming off yet another LIV Golf victory at JCB. The Chilean’s dominance this season has been nothing short of staggering, and he remains a threat every time he tee’s it up. One thing Niemann has yet to do, however, is win back-to-back individual titles. Even with Niemann’s historic season, Torque GC has not been able to win a team title this year. Sebastian Munoz has been overshadowed by his captain but is having a fantastic season in his own right. The Colombian is seventh in the individual standings as has the ideal skill set to contend at Bolingbrook. This season, Muñoz ranks 1st in the league in Strokes Gained: Approach from 150 yards and in, which is a key statistic this week.
7. HYFLYERS GC
HyFlyers GC is slowly but surely rounding into form as we approach the end of the 2025 season. In their last three starts they’ve finished T7, 5th and T7. Phil Mickelson, who paced the HyFlyers over the first half of the season has come down to earth, but his three teammates Cameron Tringale, Brendan Steele and Andy Ogletree have picked up the slack. Both Ogletree (48th) and Steele (45th) will be fighting hard over the next few events to keep their jobs as relegation looms.
8. STINGER GC
For Stinger GC to finish the season strong, they’ll need arguably their most talented player, Dean Burmester, to finish the season strong. Entering the season, Stinger was relying on Burmester to be one of the league’s top players, but he hasn’t performed all that consistently in 2025. At LIV Golf UK, the 36-year-old finished T5, which was his best result since LIV Golf Hong Kong back in early March. The strong showing from Burmester was a great sign for Stinger along with the resurgence of Branden Grace, who’s finished in the top 25 in each of his past four starts, all but securing his place on LIV Golf for 2026.
9. CLEEKS GOLF CLUB
It hasn't been a great season for Cleeks Golf Club, but the team has shown some signs of improvement over their past three starts. They finished 6th, 8th and T7 and perhaps the most encouraging sign for the Cleeks was a promising showing from their best player, Adrian Meronk. Meronk won the first event of the season in Riyadh but has been very inconsistent since. If the Polish star can build off his JCB performance and get some help from his veteran teammates, the Cleeks may just make their first trip to the podium in 2025.
10. SMASH GC
It's been a frustrating season for Smash GC Captain Brooks Koepka. The five-time major champion has failed to finish in the top 14 on the leaderboard since LIV Golf Singapore back in March. Talor Gooch looks to be incredibly dangerous this week and is finding the form that made him a revelation for LIV Golf in 2023. Despite his recent brilliance, the team has yet to truly challenge for a win this season.
11. RANGEGOATS GC
RangeGoats GC had an exceptional tournament at Bolingbrook last year, where they finished T5. In 2025, however, there is little to get excited about when it comes to the RangeGoats apart from their captain, Bubba Watson, who’s recent run has been phenomenal to watch unfold. Watson’s teammates Peter Uihlein, Matthew Wolff and Ben Campbell all rank 34th or worse in the individual standings.
12. IRON HEADS GC
Iron Heads GC have had a miserable season, with their lone bright spot coming in the form of their most consistent performer, Jinichiro Kozuma. Due to the team’s inconsistency, Kozuma can’t afford to have a down week, which he did in his most recent start at LIV Golf UK. Kevin Na, Danny Lee and Yubin Jang all rank 43rd or worse in the individual standings.
13. MAJESTICKS GC
It’s been a struggle for Majesticks GC over the past few seasons. The team has three European legends on their team, but its core hasn’t been able to perform much on the golf course. The team’s oldest player, Lee Westwood, has done his best to carry the team of late, but they’ve failed to finish better than 10th in four consecutive starts. In short, the Majesticks are running out of time and appear to be out of answers.
