After an incredible start to the season that saw LIV Golf rookie Elvis Smylie win in Riyadh and Anthony Kim win in inspirational fashion in Adelaide, LIV Golf heads to HSBC LIV Golf Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Golf Club at Fanling is a par 70 measuring 6,711 yards. The course is a tight, demanding layout — one of the smallest in professional golf, with dense tree-lined fairways and small, protected greens.

Here are the Power Rankings for HSBC LIV Golf Hong Kong for all 13 teams.

TEAM POWER RANKINGS

1. Legion XIII

Jon Rahm's team will enter the week chomping at the bit to earn their first team victory of the season after finishing runner-up at LIV Golf Adelaide. The Spaniard began his 2026 campaign with back-to-back second-place finishes and his running mate, Tyrrell Hatton, bounced back nicely in Adelaide by finishing T3 after a disappointing start to the season in Riyadh (47th). Tom McKibbin won the Link Hong Kong Open at the Hong Kong Golf Club so he will have the advantage of already mastering the tricky layout.

2. Ripper GC

Ripper GC has gotten off to an incredible start, winning both LIV Golf events to start the season. Their acquisition of a talented young player in Elvis Smylie paid immediate dividends in Adelaide, and the veteran contingent of Ripper is now rounding into form. Last week, Lucas Herbert (4th in Hong Kong last season) finished runner-up at the New Zealand Open and punched his ticket to The Open Championship and will be carrying a great deal of momentum into the week. He began his LIV Golf season by finishing T9 in Riyadh and T6 in Adelaide. Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman  both finished top 10 in their last start.

3. Torque GC

Torque GC is coming off a relatively disappointing finish in Adelaide after starting their season with a runner-up in Riyadh. The team led by Joaquin Niemann finished 5th but struggled to keep up with the torrid pace set by Ripper GC and Legion XIII, who followed closely behind. Hong Kong Golf Club should bring some positive vibes for Torque. In 2024, Abraham Ancer won the individual trophy in Hong Kong and is clearly a fantastic fit for the golf course. Sebastian Munoz continues to be one of the most consistent performers in the league, finishing in the top 10 in both of his starts to begin 2026.

4. Southern Guards GC

The Southern Guards have gained some momentum entering the week. They finished 4th in Adelaide and three of their four players teed it up last week in the Investec South African Open Championship. Branden Grace finished T4 after strong performance in both Riyadh (T9) and Adelaide (T8). Dean Burmester finished runner-up last season in Hong Kong.

5. RangeGoats GC

Peter Uihlein has started the 2026 season scorching hot, finishing 3rd in Riyadh and T3 in Adelaide. Uihlein also finished 2nd at the Link Hong Kong Open in November as well as T6 in this event last season. Matthew Wolff showed glimpses of form this season, gaining strokes on approach in each of his first two starts. The short, positional track should also Ben Campbell and Bubba Watson relatively well.

6. 4Aces GC

4Aces GC finished 3rd in each of the first two events of the season. In Adelaide, Dustin Johnson ’s team was buoyed by Anthony Kim’s stunning individual performance. For the Aces to finish on the podium for the third consecutive event, Johnson and both big hitting Belgians Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry will need to drive it accurately on Hong Kong Golf Club’s tight layout.

7. Fireballs GC

Fireballs GC are the defending champions in Hong Kong and their captain, Sergio Garcia, was crowned the individual winner. Although they haven’t been able to quite make up for the absence of Ancer yet, Garcia got hot with his irons in Adelaide and will carry some form into Hong Kong. The Fireballs will need a better effort from their young stars David Puig and Josele Ballester than they’ve gotten so far if the team is to repeat as champions this week. Neither player finished better than 32nd in Adelaide.

8. Crushers GC

The Crushers have struggled to kick off their 2026 season. They finished 7th in Riyadh and 10th in Adelaide, despite their captain Bryson DeChambeau contending individually for most of the week. DeChambeau is the only player on the team who’s finished in the top 15 in each of the first two events. He’ll need some more help from his teammates in Hong Kong.

9. Smash GC

Although Smash GC Captain Talor Gooch hasn’t played incredibly well at Hong Kong Golf Club in the first two editions of the event, I believe it was more of a form issue than a course fit mismatch. The short and positional track should suit Gooch perfectly as he’s one of the best players in the field with his short to mid irons. Harold Varner III has played well at the golf course in the past and should be a solid contributor this week.

10. Korean Golf Club

Korean Golf Club will be extremely comfortable playing in Asia and this will kick off an important two-week stretch in the continent for the team who is looking to build some momentum and create an on-course identity for the rebranded franchise. Captain Byeong Hun An has played some solid golf this season, but Danny Lee, Minkyu Kim and Younghan Song have struggled in the early going.

11. Cleeks GC

Cleeks Golf Club has finished 9th and 12th in the first two starts of the season and have gotten disappointing results from their stalwarts Adrian Meronk and Richard Bland. New addition Victor Perez finished T27 in Adelaide and should be a course fit this week.

12. HyFlyers GC

The HyFlyers have struggled without their captain Phil Mickelson, who will miss his third consecutive start this week. The league’s youngest player, Michael La Sasso, improved in Adelaide and will continue to learn each week. The HyFlyers may need a breakthrough performance from the gifted but raw talent if they’re to make a splash this week.

13. Majesticks Golf Club

Majesticks Golf Club has kept struggling into 2026, with the new calendar year failing to provide any real spark for the all-British squad. They finished 11th in Riyadh and 13th in Adelaide despite a respectable T27 performance from co-captain Ian Poulter.
