The South Course was comprehensively redesigned and reopened in 2017 by renowned architects Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, transforming the layout into a modern championship venue while preserving the parkland character that has defined golf at City Park for more than a century. Measuring over 7,300 yards from the back tees and playing to a par of 72, the course features generous fairways bordered by towering live oaks, carefully contoured greens, and a network of bunkers and water hazards that come into play throughout the round.

Water is a constant strategic presence across the layout, influencing both driving zones and approach shots, while the wide corridors off the tee encourage aggressive play without removing the need for precision.
